🏆 Dota 2 Tournament – Official Rules

Mode: Team (5v5)
 Format: Group Stage + Elimination Bracket
 Entrance: Open
 Entrance Fee: 60,000 Feathers per team

1. Eligibility

  • All players must have a valid Steam account with Dota 2 installed.
  • Each team must consist of 5 core players (plus 1 optional substitute).
  • All teams must pay the entrance fee (60,000 Feathers) in full prior to the registration deadline.
  • Each team must register with a team nameroster, and Steam IDs of all players.

     

2. Tournament Structure

  • The tournament will begin with a Group Stage. Teams will be divided into groups and play round-robin matches (Best of 1).
  • Top teams from each group will advance to the Single Elimination Playoffs (Best of 3).
  • The Grand Final will be a Best of 5 series.
  • The final number of groups and seeding will depend on the number of registered teams.

3. Match Rules

  • Game Mode: Captains Mode (CM)
  • Map: Default Dota 2 Map
  • Side & Pick: Decided by coin toss (Group Stage) or alternating choices (Playoffs)
  • Lobby Settings:
    • Visibility: Tournament
    • Enable Cheats: Off
    • Fill empty slots with bots: Off
    • Dota TV delay: 2 minutes (default)

4. Team Responsibilities

  • Teams must be ready and in the lobby 10 minutes before the scheduled time.
  • Each team must designate a captain for communication with admins.
  • Failure to appear within 15 minutes of scheduled time may result in a forfeit.
  • Teams are allowed 1 pause per game (maximum 5 minutes). Admins may allow more in special cases.

5. Roster Rules

  • Teams must stick to their submitted roster throughout the tournament.
  • Substitutes must be declared before the tournament begins.
  • Mid-tournament roster changes are not allowed unless approved by tournament staff.

6. Disconnections & Remakes

  • If a player disconnects within the first 5 minutes and before first blood, the match may be remade upon mutual agreement.
  • After that point, disconnections must be played out unless a game-breaking issue occurs.
  • Remake decisions are subject to admin discretion.

7. Fair Play & Conduct

  • Any form of cheating, scripting, or exploiting bugs will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Unsportsmanlike behavior (flaming, griefing, toxicity) will not be tolerated.
  • All players must follow the Sky Den Games Code of Conduct.

8. Streaming & Broadcast

  • Selected matches will be streamed on official platforms.
  • Players may stream their own matches with a 2-minute delay unless otherwise instructed.

9. Prizes & Distribution

  • The prize pool breakdown will be announced based on total team participation.
  • Prizes will be distributed to the team captain’s account within 7–14 business days after the final match.
  • Tournament organizers reserve the right to adjust distribution in case of disqualifications or violations.

10. Rule Changes & Admin Decisions

  • Tournament staff reserves the right to update or modify rules as necessary to ensure fair competition.
  • All administrative decisions are final.
  • In case of disputes, teams must submit evidence within 10 minutes after the match concludes.
